These terms govern your use of iiivanov.com and any commission arrangement entered into with Ivan Ivanov Ivanov ("the artist," "we," "I"). By using this site or submitting a commission inquiry, you agree to the terms below.
This site is provided for the purpose of viewing original artwork and inquiring about private commissions. You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to attempt to interfere with its normal operation.
Submitting an inquiry through this site does not, on its own, create a binding agreement to produce a commissioned work. A commission begins once both parties have agreed on scope, price, and timeline, typically following the initial inquiry and any follow-up discussion. Specific terms for each commission — including price, size, timeline, and revision process — are agreed upon individually and may be confirmed in writing (including by email) before work begins.
Commissions generally require a deposit to reserve a place in the production schedule, with the balance due on or before completion. Exact deposit amounts and payment schedules are agreed upon per commission. Prices shown on this site are starting points for each tier and may vary based on size, complexity, and reference material.
Because each commission is custom work, cancellation policies (including whether and to what extent a deposit is refundable) are addressed on a per-commission basis and should be confirmed before a deposit is made. Reasonable revisions during the commission process are expected as part of the collaborative process; the scope of included revisions is part of what's agreed upon at the start of a commission.
Ivan Ivanov Ivanov retains copyright and all reproduction rights to commissioned and original artwork, including the right to photograph, publish, and display images of the work (for portfolio, marketing, and archival purposes), unless otherwise agreed in writing. Purchasing or commissioning a piece transfers ownership of the physical artwork itself, not the underlying copyright, unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
Completed originals are delivered unframed by default, insured, and shipped worldwide; framing can be discussed and arranged separately. As original hand-painted works, pieces generally qualify for duty-free import treatment in most countries, including the U.S. — though a small carrier processing fee, and in some cases customs duties or import taxes set by the destination country, may still apply and are the recipient's responsibility, in addition to the agreed shipping cost. Estimated shipping costs and timelines are provided before a commission is finalized.
This site and its content are provided "as is." While we make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and current, we don't guarantee the site will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we aren't liable for damages arising from your use of the site, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by the law of your jurisdiction.
